Dear Friends,
The whole crew at Khampa Caravan would like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous year of the Tiger.
The Tiger represents courage and bravery, health and vitality. After saying goodbye to the Ox, a year full of perseverance and hard work for everyone, it is now time we came out stronger and bolder embracing new challenges, new ventures and new experiences.
It is in this same positive spirit that we at Khampa Caravan would like to serve and embrace our new challenges and engage with those who are considering a trip to the Tibetan highlands.
Our lado (muleteer) forefathers traded in tea, salt and wool with great conviction and belief, even though the transport of these took an entire summer season to reach its destination, thousands of miles and mountain passes away. It is with this same conviction that we at Khampa Caravan hope to continue to focus on our job of delivering service and quality and adventure - no matter how high the challenge, no matter how long the journey.
Over the years, our Tibetan English-speaking guides have taken great pride in setting the standards for quality guiding and service in the highlands. Through hard work, integrity and proven years of guiding guests, from every corner of the world, our modern lados skillfully balance the experiential and service needs of our visitors. Our guides are constantly aware of the crucial role they play in delivering genuine and interactive travel experiences that will challenge, stimulate and inspire our visitors for years to come.
We wish you all happy travels this year!
