Ringa Trek 
Enjoy a moderate 6 hours trekking through a beautiful trail passing through lush pine forests, flowers and secluded villages. Visit the sacred Ringa Temple one of the holiest and oldest Buddhist sites in Shangri-La. A close look at the semi-pastoral lifestyle of Tibetans in Shangri-La with walks through the Ringa villages. Includes the visit to a local family for lunch.

Itinerary: 
9:00am - Meet at Khampa Caravan and depart to the trekking trail.
9:30am -  Arrive to the trail head and start walking.
12:30am - Lunch.
13:30pm - Departure to the temple.
14:30pm - Arrive to the temple.
15:30pm - We are picked up by the car and drive back to town
16:30pm - Back at Khampa Caravan

A 6 hour trek that begins near Shangri-La’s Shidag mountains in an easterly direction. We first ascend and cross over the first pass and enter Tsalang village with its rolling fertile valleys and a charming community of around 8 families. After another higher pass, we gradually descend into the sacred Ringa valley with beautiful views of the Gangdreng Mountains across. After walks through the Kochi villages and a visit to a family to have Tibetan lunch, we continue up the holy hill strewn with colorful prayer flags and the scent of incense and juniper, after walking around the holy circuit just as pilgrims do and then a break in the peaceful environment and will picked by a vehicle.
