Day 1, Shangrila to Namka Tashi( Feilai Si in Chinese) (191KM)
We will be driving out of town, to have an over view of the Napha marshlands (The wintering grounds of the black neck crane) and then cross over the Tsebula pass before we get to the district of Nishar whose villages are rich in folklore and arts. And then we descend through some wild landscapes and pay a visit to Gonjo artisan village before we come hit the upper Yangtze gorges. Gonjo artisan village is famous for making wooden Tsampa boxes.
After lunch at Kungzera, we drive up along the Yangtze and then gradually ascend to the Dhondupling Monastery. We will continue our driving to Baima Snow Mountain and gradually to Dechen. We can have a very good view of Khawa Karpo from your hotel weathe permiting. We will later visit the Namka Tashi Temple.

Day 2, Namka Tashi to Yubeng
See sunrise over Khawa Karpo Mountain if weather permitting; After breakfast, drive along Mekong River to reach Xidang ,the trailhead of the trek (1.5 hours); hike up to and over a mountain pass to Yubeng, with picnic lunch (5-7 hours, with several steep sections); arrive in Yubeng village; dinner in a Tibetan living room. overnight in Yubeng.

Day 3, Yubeng Water fall
Enjoy breakfast with breathtaking views of Mt. Khawa Karpo if weather permitting; hike to Yubeng waterfall and enjoy picnic lunch on the way (5-6 hours roundtrip, steep hike); visit sacred sites, such as the local Tibetan Buddhist temple; return to village; in late afternoon, sip traditional Yak butter tea with a farmer in Upper Yubeng village, while chatting about local life; overnight in Yubeng.

Day 4, Yubeng 
Today we retrace our way back to the trailhead Xidang. Today's hike includes some tough, steep passes. Our car will meet us at the foot of the mountain and drive Mingyong village . 

Day 5, Mingyong Glacier
This morning, we will be trekking along the trail to the Mingyong Glacier. According to research, the Mingyong Glacier is the low altitude glacier of the lowest latitude in the world. The whole length of the Mingyong Glacier is about 4 kilometers with the width of 30 meters to 80 meters. In the past years, however, the Mingyong Glacier has vanished gradually. We will also pay a visit to 2 holy temples here before we head our way down to the village.Then drive back to Namka Tashi.


Day 6, Shangrila 
Today , we will drive back to Shangrila and on the way we will visit the Nunnery which is located in Shusong village, in a very beautiful environment . We will have a chat with a senior nun to talk about how oneself is became a nun.Then continue our driving back to Shangrila
